As noted in one of our prior posts, our market is loaded with great schools that consistently receive very high ratings and rankings from a variety of school-ranking sources. Three of those schools–Plymouth Canton, Plymouth Salem and Plymouth High School–share a single 305-acre campus, located at 8400 Beck Road, Canton, MI 48187.

From PCEP’s website we reproduce the following information:

Three Schools – One Park — serving the communities of Canton Township, Plymouth, Plymouth Township, Northville Township, Salem Township and Superior Township — Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is located in the state of Michigan, U.S.A.

The Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (P-CEP), a 305 acre campus site in western Wayne County, is the home of three large comprehensive high schools—Canton, Plymouth and Salem High Schools. Completed in 2002, the buildings house 280 teachers, counselors, administrators, human services, learning specialists with a student population totaling more than 6,200 in grades nine through twelve.

Mission Statement

Every student will master the knowledge and skills necessary to be a productive citizen and lifelong learner. The unique environment at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park supports academic excellence, personal success and community participation.

Educational Excellence = Student Success
E² = S²

Intellectual growth, physical and emotional health, awareness of one’s responsibility to self and to the larger community, including preparation for the world of work, are essential elements of this belief. Through the school’s formal instructional programs, its specialized human and materials resources and with the commitment of students to be active participants in the learning process, the mission of P-CEP can be accomplished.

Park facilities include laboratories, practice areas and a large auditorium for the performing arts and modern laboratories for the sciences, business, life management and technology education.

Found in all three buildings are Library Media Centers and Counseling & Guidance Centers that provide all students with college and career information.

Athletic facilities include swimming pools, gymnasiums, and an 8,000-seat football and field events stadium. While each school has its own interscholastic athletic teams, other activities such as band and drama are combined as Park programs.

Instructional technology in all classrooms enhances student learning and links students to distant learning resources. The Park is also home to the student run radio station: 88.1 FM ThePark.

We put together an aerial tour of the campus, which you can see below, so you can get a sense of the grounds and the structure.

To everyone at PCEP, keep up the great work! We greatly appreciate the outstanding work you are doing…
